Hungarian government: there is no real chance for Ukraine’s victory!

If someone considers the progress of war, it makes no sense cherishing illusions, Gergely Gulyás, the prime minister’s chief of staff, said during this week’s government info. He added that the position of several western politicians that Ukraine should win the war might be morally correct but there is no real chance for such a victory.

Asked if Ukraine should relinquish some of its territories to Russia, Gulyas said, “we do not want to make a statement in what is an Ukrainian affair”.
In response to a question, Gulyas said a visit by Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto to Ukraine was not on the agenda.
Gulyás said prices above 200 US dollars per barrel would severely dent Europe’s competitiveness globally, while signs of a swift end to the war in Ukraine were few and far between.
