Budapest traffic to be “paralysed” by demonstration in solidarity with teachers’ strike

Change language:
The Ministry of Human Resources (Emmi) has told unions that a strike planned by teachers on Monday would be illegal as the Jan. 28 court ruling on the matter was not final.
It is only lawful to hold a strike in Hungary in possession of a final court ruling on the matter.
The government called the unions to postpone Monday’s mass strike and to act within the law.
The ministry said in a statement on Saturday that children and parents had suffered enough already due to the burdens of the coronavirus pandemic. Students must attend school on Monday since the strike is illegal, it added.
However, Hvg reported that the traffic could be “paralysed” by a demonstration!
On Monday, in solidarity with the planned teachers’ strike, the Hungarian Trade Union Confederation (MASZSZ) will hold a demonstration on the streets of Budapest with 200 cars.

According to mariavontheresa it’s perfectly adequate to live on. Perhaps she’d like to express this to the teachers……..
