Hungarian gold medal at one of the world’s most prestigious sparkling wine competitions

The Hungaria Rose Extra Dry sparkling wine competed at Effervescents du Monde. The Hungarian sparkling wine won a prestigious acknowledgement.
The Hungaria Rose Extra Dry sparkling wine competed at Effervescents du Monde in Burgundy. This was the 19th time the competition was organised, writes turizmusonline.hu. French, Italian and Spanish sparkling wines also participated.
In total, 490 sparkling wines competed from 20 countries. 52 gold and 108 silver medals were awarded. 4 of the gold medals were given to Hungarian contestants.
The competition was quite something. The event took place between 30 November and 3 December, and the jury was assembled from 80 international members. The tasting in Château de Pierreclos resulted in a reward for the Hungarian product. It won the gold medal and was announced to be among the top 10 products.
Hungaria Rose Extra Dry won the award three times in a row: in 2019, 2020, and 2021.
This year, the competition was very fierce, as 15 products are on the top 10 list. This is because more sparkling wines got the same score, writes trademagazin.hu. The magazine also adds that Hungaria Rose Extra Dry is very popular among Hungarian customers.






How many times does the Daily News Hungary have to be told???!!!! Champagne is an appellation d’origine contrôlée, a name protected in law within the EU. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS HUNGARIAN CHAMPAGNE, just sparkling wine.
