These are Budapest’s cheapest and most expensive streets

If we break down the capital city of Hungary into districts, we can get a good understanding of how expensive real estate can cost and how prices differ based on locations.

The most expensive real estate in district 5 costs HUF 994,000 (EUR 2,702 ) per square metre while a home in the cheapest street of the rural town of Soroksár can be purchased for HUF 416,000 (EUR 1,131) per square metre. – writes hvg.hu. The price difference is astonishing. The 10 most expensive areas in Budapest are Vérhalom street, Vörösmarty square, Dorottya street, Gyöngyvirág street, Úri street, Tóth Lőrinc street, Szalay street, Szeréna street, Mártonhegyi street, and Gárdonyi Géza street. Whereas, the cheapest are Vecsés street, Ady Endre street, Posztógyár köz  Táncsics Mihály street, Károli Gáspár street, Révay street, XV. street, Korponai street, Honvéd street and Külső Vörösmarty street.

While buying real estate in the most expensive street in district 2 can even cost you HUF 2 003 000 (EUR 5,445 ), a home in the cheapest area would be of a significantly lower price. Real estate in Külső Vörösmarty street in district 23 costs HUF 220 000 (EUR 598) per square metre.

In Buda, 8 out of the 10 most expensive streets can be found in districts 2 and 12. The cheapest street is also in district 2, and it is called Ganz street. There, real estate costs HUF 425,000 (EUR 1,155) per square metre.
