Hungary is located in central Europe, making it an easily accessible and convenient destination for many tourists visiting this part of the world. It has tonnes to offer, from historic landmarks and vivid city culture to beautiful wine regions and rural life.

There are five regions in Hungary, with the most visited being its capital city, Budapest. Transdanubia is the most economically developed region known for its history, while Lake Balaton offers some of the most beautiful scenery. You’ll find northern Hungary is home to a variety of cave baths and quaint towns. Then the Great Hungarian Plain is a larger, more isolated region famous for its rolling hills and beautiful countryside.

Having a global health insurance card (GHIC) allows all UK citizens to access state-funded health services provided by the European Union countries. 1. Visit the Capital City, Budapest

Hungary’s capital city is considered one of Europe’s most enjoyable. It features incredible nightlife, lots of green spaces and excellent museums to soak up the culture. Buda Castle’s UNESCO World Heritage site is stunning and explains why Budapest is often called the Paris of the East. You could even find yourself relaxing in one of the city’s famous thermal baths. Access to the country’s capital is convenient with the international airport and train stations nearby.
