This is how Budapest Transport Centre describes the fan trams

“Experience the atmosphere of the European Championship while travelling!” – this is how BKK (Budapest Transport Centre) describes the fan trams. On the day of the matches of the Hungarian national team, a familiar atmosphere will be created in the city for those who choose public transport.
The Budapest Transport Centre (BKK) prepared travel restrictions for this Saturday’s Hungarian-French football match, and in their Friday announcement, they also warned that significant closures are expected in the vicinity of the Puskás Arena.
It is worth travelling to the match mainly by metro number 2 and 4, which travel significantly more often than usual, and by tram 1, as there were closures on the main roads. The arena can be reached on foot from Keleti Railway Station and Ferenc Puskás Stadium.
Anyone who chooses public transport during the European Football Championship can have this special experience. On the day of the matches of the Hungarian national team, the downtown routes will ensure the well-desired atmosphere, and until the end of the European Championship, the passengers can also meet the Volkswagen tram for fans, BKK reported in a statement sent to our editorial office.
