A 21-year-old Hungarian stole a hearse from the yard of the hospital of Salgótarján late Tuesday evening. According to the authorities, the vehicle was empty at the time of the crime and belonged to a local mortician. Police already caught the perpetrator.
According to 24.hu, the police department of Salgótarján launched a theft investigation against a 21-year-old man. The perpetrator went up to a hearse parked in the yard of the hospital of Salgótarján at 9:45 pm on Tuesday. Interestingly, he started the engine with the key left inside. Afterwards, he left the hospital and travelled to Karancsalja, a village just six kilometres away from the Northern-Hungarian city.
However, he was not an experienced driver, so due to the unprofessional use,
the car malfunctioned and stopped.
Then, the man stole the car keys and a briefcase containing not only cash and the mortician’s bank cards but also his personal documents and electric cigarette.
Police soon caught the perpetrator and claimed everything back. The 21-year-old admitted to his deed and said that
he just wanted to drive a car.Â
As of yet, nobody has said anything about the damage he caused to the hearse.
