A Romanian pulmonologist shot and killed the Hungarian man, László’s wife, Valéria four years ago. The doctor also shot László in the head, who survived, but the left side of his body got paralysed.

The Romanian doctor who killed Valéria and shot László was caught by the police in Romania. He was sentenced to prison for three years and four months for illegally carrying a weapon. He admitted the Romanian authorities that he bought the 9 mm Smith & Wesson revolver at Nyíregyháza, Hungary in order to kill the couple. The doctor also told the police that he had an affair with the married woman, but after she broke up with him, he wanted to take revenge.

László now told Blikk about the accident: “I remember the muzzle flash of the gun and how my wife collapsed. Then the man pointed the gun at me and pulled the trigger. When I fell on the ground and touched the right side of my head, half of a palm-size was missing from it. I realised only then that he shot me. My two children also witnessed the scene. My daughter was trying to gently calm me down while my son ran to get help. A couple of months later, my doctor showed me the scan of my damaged skull. I could see the bone and metal fragments stuck into my brain that no surgery could ever get out of there.”
