It is horrifying what people can do – three cases of brutality in Hungary

People seem to be caring less and less for each other and can commit crimes that are indescribable. They act on impulse not caring about the consequences of their deeds to other people’s life. In the following article, we have found three cases where the perpetrators brutally took another person’s life for selfish reasons. Proceed only if you can handle the description of extreme violence.

An elderly woman from Pécs hired a tiler who beat her to death with a stapler

According to Bors, the elderly woman had previously hired the perpetrator for a job around her house. While working for her, the man noticed that she was relatively wealthy. He told his friend, and they decided to rob the woman together. The next day, the man she hired unexpectedly showed up at her door, but because she knew him, the woman let him in. The other perpetrator waited in the staircase and tried to sneak in and steal her valuables.

However, they failed, as the old woman noticed the trick and started shouting, so her former worker attacked her. At first, he started beating her with his own fists, but then he used the first thing he could find in the apartment: a foil stapler. When the woman was unconscious, he also started to search her belongings – that is when one of the woman’s neighbours stumbled upon them. The neighbour was shocked by the sight and started panicking. Instead of calling for help, he ran away and decided not to tell anyone about what he saw.

This allowed the perpetrators to escape from the scene with the woman’s 80,000 forints (~€230) and the keys to the apartment. When they left, the former worker even cut and stabbed the victim’s face.

After being caught, they were brought to court alongside the neighbour. The tiler, who was a recidivist, was sentenced to life imprisonment for profit-seeking manslaughter committed with particular cruelty. His partner, also a recidivist, was sentenced to 20 months of imprisonment for theft, while the panicked neighbour was fined for 490,000 forints (~€1,400) for failing to provide assistance and notify the authorities. The neighbour accepted his sentence, and it became final, but the two perpetrators will have a hearing in Pécs.

Like a scene from a horror movie, instead of a nice dinner, a man cut the throat of his love

According to Bors, Kata (23), the victim, and Dániel, who was her age, were previously together, but Kata broke up with the man last summer. Dániel did not accept this, and he devised a shocking plan.

On the pretext of a farewell dinner, the man went to the girl’s apartment, but instead of eating, he proceeded to murder the girl not unlike in a scene from a horror movie, with a 20 cm knife which he brought with himself.
