Coronavirus – Hungarians react to the epidemic differently than the world average

Ever since the coronavirus appeared in Europe, many studies revealed that European people’s number one fear has become the virus itself. In a study by Ipsos, out of 27 countries, in 14 of them the coronavirus became the most frightening thing among residents, while in Hungary, the epidemic and the infection are only the sixth most fearsome factors among people.



Turizmus reported that 39% of the world thinks that their home countries handle the epidemic well and go in the right direction (Ipsos). The most satisfied countries include Saud Arabia, India, Malaysia, and Austria while the most dissatisfied are South Africa, Chile, the USA, and Belgium. In the United States, for example, 56% of citizens believed that the country handled the epidemic well in spring, but in August, only 26%(!) of Americans were satisfied. In Russia, 33% of residents were satisfied during the spring months, and in August, their number increased by 10%.
