The 23-year-old, originally from Australia, has had his work reviewed in major publications such as The Huffington Post and RESPECT Mag, as well as garnered numerous radio plays across Europe and the US.
Now, the Australian has come up with a new title for himself: a music technologist.
“Having been in the music industry for several years, I noticed a lot of tasks were still being done manually,” Jesse told us. “For example, there is still a lot of paperwork that needs to be completed in order for me to sell one of my songs to a label or a company.”
With this in mind, Jesse upped his profession into the technology world and released the music collaboration platform, Gemtracks.
“A month after I released Gemtracks and placed all my beats there for other artists and companies to purchase, I began making up to $600 a day,” the singer exclaimed.
“My one rule is that all the beats I sell can only be sold once, and the buyer gets the full copyright ownership. I guess this is what made my beats attractive.”
Seeing the success, Jesse turned Gemtracks into a public marketplace.
“A lot of people, especially producers I met while in the studio in Los Angeles, thought the idea of Gemtracks was marvellous,” the self-proclaimed music technologist continued. “So, I gathered a bunch of close friends and decided to turn Gemtracks into a public space.”
