Amazing Hungarian cover of Sound of Silence – Video

Change language:
In 2017, a high school band from Gyöngyös, Hungary was featured in the headlines of newspapers internationally when it made a cover of Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters,” and got permission from Metallica’s management and band members to upload the song to YouTube. Two years later, and with a year’s work behind them they have made another clip.
It features the high school students’ old band-mates, along with buskers from London. The song they worked on is one of the most famous songs in the world: “The Sound of Silence” by Simon and Garfunkel. It took a lot of courage for an eighteen year old to sing this world famous song that was covered so well by Disturbed.
Emese Pitlik, the leader of the orchestra said: ’I was walking on Trafalgar Square, and I remember hearing a wonderfully vocal female street musician, then a boy on Oxford Street, and another street musician on the subway… after those experiences, I decided that the clip would be about street musicians who sing but people often don’t hear their words and songs.
