Ákos Sárközi, the chef of Borkonyha, and Ádám Mészáros, the chef of the Onyx Restaurant, are both on the list of the 100 best chefs running for The Best Chef 2020 award.
The nomination board of the award published the names of the 100 candidates in the first days of March. There will be a poll during which the best chef in the world will be elected. Voting starts on April 1, and food photographers, gastronomy experts, and gastronomists will be able to cast their ballot. Furthermore, the contestants of this year and from 2019 will also be able to vote, hvg reported.

The winner will be announced on the Food Meets Science conference organised between September 21-23 in the Rotterdam Markethal. Not only the name of the world’s best chef will be revealed there but also the names in the top 10. The real challenge and the real value of the award are that
