WAMP Design Fair – Winter Season Sale is on!

On 9th February WAMP Design Fair will launch its 2020 season at Bálna Budapest, where this time designers will offer more discounts on their collections of the winter season. This will be your chance to get hold of the last items and your dream pieces on a favourable price.

Rozmaring Hungarian Design will take part for the first time at WAMP. The brand creates vivid and comfortable garments for younger generations inspired by Hungarian folk traditions and design. Fashion designer Georgina Rengei graduated at Budapest Metropolitan University in 2018, her goal is to introduce Hungarian traditional values and culture to her own generation. Her first collection that debuts at WAMP includes knitted pieces inspired by the Hungarian shepherd’s culture and wood cravings. The clothes are made in Hungary in small series with thorough and precise work with the use of strong and durable fabrics.

Dóra Merflesz the designer of Saku – az ökozacskó (eco-bag) creates zero-waste home items and packaging among others – bread and sandwich bags or organic cotton discs. The brand offers great alternative to plastic bags and it helps to reduce plastic use in our daily life. These practical pieces are perfect gifts but it is also worth getting hold a few of them for yourself too, as they provide great solution for shopping and packaging.

Ágnes Cornides and Zsolt Simonyi are a married couple and founders of the brand Cornides that offers paper- and textile products made of durable organic and recycled materials. Their philosophy is based on the devotion to simple natural life, the following of the cycles of seasons, respect of nature and the love of good-quality products. Their textiles are decorated with their own graphics created by handmade sieve techniques with the use of the nearly hundred-years old wooden tools inherited from the Cornides grandparents.
