The travelo.hu collected the ten best Christmas fairs in Hungary:

Budapest – On Vörösmarty Square: the Christmas fair on Vörösmarty Square is already open, up until 6 January 2016. The fair has a classic Christmas atmosphere with a huge Christmas tree, gastronomic-and handicrafts items sold at the stalls, and there are many festival programmes for adults and children alike.

Budapest – Advent Feast at Basilica: for five weeks starting from 27 November, St Stephen’s square will be filled with street food vendors, gingerbread baking (anyone can participate), there’s going to be a huge ice skating rink, and a 9 metre high Christmas tree. During the night the Basilica’s façade will be light painted.

Budapest – At Four Seasons Gresham: due to its immense success, the Four Seasons Gresham Palace will hold its Christmas fair between 20 November and 25 December with exclusive collections of Hungarian designers, handicrafts item, and surprise programs.

Budapest – Óbuda: Óbuda will have its annual Christmas fair at Fő Square between 28 November and 23 December. There are going to be many concerts (Palya Bea, Ferenczi György and the Rackajam, the Muzsikás and the Kaláka are among the performers, too), an entry free ice skating rink, a huge Christmas tree, countless handicrafts items, gastro boardwalk, and a petting zoo on Sundays.

Budapest – At Millenáris Park: Those who are looking for unique handicrafts present for Christmas will surely find what they need on the Winter WAMP at Millenaris  Hall B. The market is open between 10am and 6pm on 22 November, 6 December, 13 December, and 20 December. The entry fee is 500 HUF which is deductible at Millenáris until 31 March 2016.

Győr: there are going to be 150 different kinds of programmes during the Advent in Győr Christmas Fair from 27 November 2015 until the end of December 2015. The Christmas tree, the Advent wreath, and the Bethlehem are all going to be on Széchenyi Square together with the light plays, a petting zoo, and a mini train. The ice skating rink on Dunakapu Square will be open until the end of January and can be used between 10am and 8pm from Saturday to Thursday, and between 1pm and 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
