Three Hungarian cities among world’s most popular ones

One of the world’s largest accommodation meta-search engines has published this year’s top 100 list. There are three cities among the most popular destinations as well: Pecs, Gyor and Szeged, hvg.hu wrote.

The three Hungarian cities are included in the first half of trivago’s top 100 list. In fact, Pecs, which is the county seat of Barany and was European Capital of Culture in 2010, is among the top performers with the 8^th place. Gyor became 43^rd and Szeged became the 50^th.

The list established under trivago’s Best Value Index considers three factors: the average accommodation prices of the given city over the past year, the assessment of the accommodations (a minimum of 150 assessments are required for a city to be on the list), as well as the number of accommodations (at least 50). By comparing the average price and the accommodation assessments, the best value for money destination are included on the list.
