Respectable husband or successful porn star? A hungarian father does both

Attila Csáky is a loving, caring husband and father, well respected among the parent community where his children go to school. He has learnt many valuable lessons since his early twenties but has an adventurous past – in the 1990’s he was one of the most successful Hungarian porn stars.

There is nothing out of the ordinary in the Csáky family house, at least not until you notice the porn-Oscars next to the children’s drawings and plasticine figures. The mixing of such distant areas of life portrays how well Attila is handling his past by accepting it. According to Heti Világgazdaság, Attila used to star in, and direct adult films (still directs), but has come a long way: he has three children now, is an important member of the parents’ board at his kids’ school and has a supportive wife.

The father reveals that he hopes his eldest son, aged 14, has not yet looked up his name on the internet, as he would like to unmask this secret himself.

‘It seemed like a good idea’

How did this all come together? One might think that a porn star will never live a ‘normal’ life with a spouse and children, and will be forever branded if successful. Choky Ice’s career started right after the fall of Communism in Hungary. He recalls that pornography was an entirely different concept at that time, it had its golden era before the internet. Thanks to the regime change, the Central-European stars suddenly became the wards of the most popular producers from the West.

30 years ago, when Attila was a teenager, accessing porn did not go smoothly, the best you could get were some magazines or calendars. Despite this, he was captivated by the industry, his main motivation being his love for sex, for the female body. “When you are young, trying to find the place where you fit in, it might seem a good idea to take up porn” – he reminisces. It did not take long for him to start working with the most acclaimed producers, and under their wings, he managed to win several prestigious awards. Through this success, he was able to travel across the globe.

“I got off work, I got paid, went home and carried on with my life. I went to parties, had a girlfriend, roamed the cities on my bike, built friendships. I was lucky enough to have been surrounded by wonderful people. However, I never liked those huge porn parties that people tell legends about.

I had a life of my own and clear plans, and although pornography had an essential part in it, I never wanted to belong to them”

Husband, father, porn star

Attila had a golden rule: he made it clear at the beginning of each and every relationship that he does porn for a living and that he is not going to give it up – “I had my job long before particular relationships”. This, however, was unsettling for some of his past partners. Still, eventually, he found the One. His wife, Andrea, is a piano player; they have been together for nine years now and have a happy family with three children. Even though they have their ups and down, Andrea is proud of his husband’s accomplishments, even when they are out, and someone recognises him, asking for an autograph.
