III. Junior Wine Festival

In recent year, the square in front of St. Stephen’s Basilica became one of the hottest points of Pest. You can definitely run into your friends there any time of the day. Junior Wine Festival was launched by the Young Winemakers Association with DiVino and you can know the winemakers under 40 and their best wines from 10 wine regions.

30 wine makers with more than a hundred kinds of wines move out the Szent Istvan Square for 4 days to create a real festival atmosphere to the end of summer. Click here for more details!

Dreher Fest

Bet you have never partied in a beer factory. If you prefer beer, you can target the Dreher factory as well on Saturday where you can dance at the concerts of Magashegyi Underground, PASO and a couple of other cool Hungarian bands from 2 pm. until dawn. The 160-year-old beer factory is transforming into a real party place where you can taste the beer specialties brewed by master for this occasion in mobile ruin pubs. The entrance fee is HUF 1500 which includes 2dl beer tasting three times, a pint of beer costs HUF 400. You can read more here.

Cholent Festival

After the drink fest, you should go to the heart of the 7th district, the Kazinczy Street on Sunday, where you can try the most diverse variations of cholent, the popular Jewish food made of bean and barley. The festival is like a mini world tour where you can learn the hottest cholent recipes from Yemen to Poland.
