Budapest Rooftop Cinema
Europe’s biggest rooftop cinema is awaiting film aficionados for the sixth time this summer on top of the Corvin department store at Blaha Lujza square, a legendary building that is now undergoing a long-deserved renovation. They screen old classics, recently debuted films, as well as pre-premier movies, often accompanied by performances, talks, and special drink offers.
Várkert Bazár
Brush up your Hungarian cinema literacy this summer by attending one of the several screenings of the recent past’s most acclaimed Hungarian films in the scenic environment at Várkert Bazár. In June, for instance, you can see On Body and Soul or Aurora Borealis with English subtitles and meet its creators at the talks that follow the screenings.
