Deadly explosion kills a Hungarian woman in California

A Hungarian woman was killed, and three others were wounded in an explosion that happened in a spa in Aliso Viejo, California on Tuesday, 24.hu and BBC.com report. Since a foreign object (most likely an explosive device) was found on the scene, police suspect that it was not an accident.
The city of Aliso Viejo is located in the San Joaquin Hills of southern Orange County, California.
The explosion destroyed not only the spa, but it damaged other parts of the two-storey building as well. Moreover, even nearby buildings were damaged by the blast. At first, people in the area thought that it was an Earthquake (which is not unusual in California).
Police found foreign items on the scene, which investigators suspect to be some kind of explosive device that potentially could be the source of the explosion, but that is just a working theory at the moment. Police have not confirmed that the explosion was intentional yet.
About the foreign items that were found by the police, the sheriff’s official said that these “were not consistent with items that would be used as a day spa”. Investigators do not know how the item could have entered the spa, but it is known that it was not sent through the U.S. Postal Service.
