Hungarian electric planes getting built in Pécs

Change language:
Magnus’ Fusion 212 type ultra light airplane is currently produced in Kecskemét. Now they intend to extend their manufacture to Pécs, where they are planning to produce the first electric planes in the world named eFusion. According to Origo.hu, the company is represented in China, and they have already begun the construction of their factory in Texas.
There is a large demand for these planes, but their mass production will begin soon. Magnus Aircraft is discussing with the municipal of Pécs about establishing their new factory in the city and the nearby airfield. There is enough room for it.
They have chosen Pécs because of the Pécs-Pogány airfield, even though it is not such a famous one as the airfield of Kecskemét.
Production would not be possible without an airfield. Both the testing and merchandising of the planes would take place on the runway, as many of the customers might arrive with their own planes.
The assembling of the carbon composite airplanes would take place in Pécs, but the production in Kecskemét would continue. The company also intends to invest in development and research. If they manage to lay hands on the ominous territory, the construction of the factory might begin in autumn.
