US Entry Ban – DK Asks Orban about Persons Implicated

Budapest, October 29 (MTI) – The opposition Democratic Coalition has submitted a written question to Prime Minister Viktor Orban asking him to reveal whether a list of persons allegedly implicated by the US entry ban published in German-language online daily Pester Lloyd is correct, a party spokesman said today.

According to a report by Pester Lloyd on October 19, the list of persons affected by the US entry ban includes Tax Office chief Ildiko Vida, Orban’s advisor Arpad Habony, head of think-tank Szazadveg Peter Heim, development minister Miklos Sesztak, head of the prime minister’s office Janos Lazar and former government spokesman Andras Giro-Szasz.

DK said it is unclear whether this list is correct but it is striking that “there is no information on whether the affected persons have demanded a correction or took the paper to court.”

The development ministry said in a statement on Wednesday afternoon that Sesztak was not affected by the ban.
