Budapest, September 8 (MTI) – Hungary’s National University of Public Service (NKE) will offer its courses to international students at a separate faculty as of next year, the university’s rector told MTI in an interview on Monday, outlining planned developments at the university.
The move of the public administration and law enforcement faculties to the newly-reconstructed Ludovika Campus in Budapest’s eighth district will be complete by the end of 2015, Andras Patyi said.
The university since its launch in January 2012 has undergone vast changes, including the launch of the Doctoral School in Public Administration Sciences as the third doctoral programme at the institution. The Institute of International Studies, which includes a programme in security and defence, is facing changes before it is reopened as a faculty on its own incorporating all international studies next year, Patyi said.
Upgrade projects at the Ludovika Campus include the construction of a 600-room student residence, a new educational building and a sports centre which will have a swimming pool, a shooting ground and outside sports facilities. The park outside the main Ludovika building will be renovated to include a riding school as well, he said.
