Neverland is a unique place not just because of its décor or name, but also because it houses no less than five escape rooms for you and your friends to try out. You can choose from jailbreak, asylum, wild west, fantasy, or sci-fi themes as all of them are represented by an escape room.
But if you are only looking for a couple of drinks and maybe a delicious bite, you can also do that here. They have quite a large selection of alcoholic drinks and cocktails, and although they are not cheap, Neverland swears by the quality of their drinks and service. This particular establishment was launched when WhiskyNet Ltd., a company that has been selling quality spirits for more than 10 years now, and Norbert Schök, one of the best bartenders in Hungary, met and were able to realise their long-time dream.
WhiskeyNet started its operation in 2006 as a family business and, according to their website, they have always wanted a place where people could taste some of the most delicious spirits the company had available. Meanwhile, Norbert Schök was travelling around the world and gained experience as a bartender in many countries. When they met, there was no stopping them, and that is how GoodSpirit was born.
Their aim at GoodSpirit Cocktail and Whiskey Bar is a place for civilised drinking, and they aim to offer anyone who likes quality spirits and interesting cocktails the best they can provide. Their food selection is not that large, but it sure looks delicious and will help you enjoy more of the real show here. According to their description, Tuk Tuk Bar aims to evoke the atmosphere and style of 1920s Shanghai with all the colours and sensations. Their interior is the result of careful contemplation about every aspect of it. It is a very thematic bar, and their main focus is definitely the drinks and cocktails, but they still have a few snack items if you become hungry.
They aim to provide the best service they can, so instead of just serving you, their philosophy is to “create lasting experiences”. They use the finest quality of fresh ingredients such as lemon, lemongrass, ginger, etc., and they are proud of their homemade syrups. It might be the most unique of all cocktail bars in Budapest you can go to. The interior and the decoration evokes that of an old pharmacy, and many of their drinks and other ingredients are stored in jars or dark bottles that probably came from a hundred years ago. You will also find labels that match the era, and you can ask any question about the drink you order while the bartender is making it for you.
You will certainly be able to find some of the most peculiar cocktails in this establishment, but you might need to hurry and book some seats if you would like to try how delicious their cocktails really are as Bar Pharma only fits about 10-15 people inside at best. According to Tripadvisor, this establishment, which opened up in 2011, is like a café during the daytime and, as time progresses, it becomes more like a bar. There are several interesting things about this place: one being that it would often host live concerts – though this might change due to the pandemic –, and it is the beloved destination of artists and, lately, foreigners.
The other interesting thing about this place is that it also pays attention to their food selection in addition to the wide range of drinks you can get. They would often make international dishes or Hungarian ones with a twist. The atmosphere is very friendly – you should definitely visit it at least once.
